Activate a Codemeter USB Dongle

7thSense software – Compere, Actor and Conjurer performer roles – and some third party inclusions, are licensed options.

Wibu CodeMeter provides this software protection, licensing and security. A licence is required for Compere and third party software such as Notch, and can be provided as a software licence or USB dongle.

Register a Licence

Insert USB CodeMeter licence dongle into the PC

If not already available, install Wibu CodeMeter control centre application
https://www.wibu.com/uk/support/user/downloads-user-software/file/download/11352.html

Open the CodeMeter control center app and verify that the USB dongle is present. This will be described as below, CmStick/B. Take note of the dongle number, in this case 3-6269593.

Follow the hyperlink to the licence code as provided by the company supplying the licence. For example, 7thSense, or Notch.

Example: http://lc.codemeter.com/76932/depot/get.php?id=VYM5B-W3M3L-FPQ5Q-EDKSM-3UXTS

Assuming the licence hasn’t already been registered, following the link should look like this:

The licence dongle is recognised where the licence status is shown as ‘Available’ and ‘Select CmContrainer’ shows the dongle number listed.

Assuming its licence number does match what is expected, click the orange ‘Activate Select Licenses Now’ button. This will automatically download and transfer the licence to the dongle.

If the licence number doesn’t match what you expect, refresh the page to reread the system for available dongles. You can have multiple dongles connected simultaneously, but this will increase the risk of transferring incorrectly.

Read Dongle Licence Information

If we want to read the licence information back from a dongle, from the Codemeter control panel application we can select the dongle in the list, then click Web Admin. This will open a webpage.
