Overview

PosiStageNet will track any number of objects and output their position, orientation, speed, acceleration, or the objects’ target position. PosiStageNet is a data exchange protocol created by VYV and MA Lighting, and has applications in on-stage lighting, sound, and projection mapping. As a default, the messages are multicast UDP sent to port 56565

Device Setup

PosiStageNet Client setup:

Listen For Messages

Checking this option enables dynamic detection of PosiStageNet client data and populates the treeview with visible systems and trackers on the network.

Tracking

The treeview presents data structured as system/tracker/properties; For variables to be created, selected values must be checked. Checking a root tree component will enable/disable all child; Checking a child will automatically check all parent items.

Format

MXM variables will be created automatically; Their name is composed of the system + tracker + property; Invalid caracters are replaced by underscores. Example : “Solar_System_Earth_Position” where “Solar System” would be the system name, “Earth” the tracker name and “Position” the property

Create separate variables for x/y/z

As a general rule, PosiStageNet entities report a tuple of three(3) distinct values for each property (3D coordinate). If checked, this option will automatically create three (3) distinct variables for each tracked variable; If left unchecked, a single variable will be created for the property and the value will be a comma separated list of values.

Device Commands

There are no commands available. The MXM only acts as a proxy listener between PosiStageNet payload and Medialon variables.
