Overview

The Sealevel SeaLINK series are Serial ports servers communicating over Ethernet. This MRC uses the TCP/IP Telnet Control Port protocol (also referenced as RFC–2217) to communicate with SeaLINK servers.

Installation

SeaLINK modules must be configured to accept TCP/IP Telnet Control Port protocol connections in order to work with the MRC. This configuration is done using a WEB brower.

Connect the SeaLINK using its IP address. The following page will be displayed:

Click on the ‘Administration’ link and check if the ‘RFC 2217’ (Telnet Com Port Control) is selected for ‘Connection Protocol’ option, like shown in the picture below:

Click now on the ‘Port Settings’ and make sure the ‘Protocol’ option is set to ‘Ignored’, like shown in the picture below: Finally, if you have made any changes, click to ‘Submit’ to validate your modification.

Setup

Resource Scanning

This MRC doesn’t support ressource scanning feature. Setup

A Sealevel SeaLINK resource can be added by creating new resource with “New Resource > Sealevel seaLINK Serial” Menu.

The Setup window opens, allowing to enter resource settings:

Network Address

IP address of the SeaLINK module.

COM Port

Port number of the SeaLINK module. Note that each serial port has its own IP port, which is automatically assigned.

Click on “OK” to add the Serial Resource.
